Privacy Policy

What information iConnectBlade collects, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.

This Privacy Policy explains how iConnectBlade, operated by Pedro Tech, handles your information. It is a detailed draft and must still be reviewed and finalized by a qualified lawyer before launch. Protecting younger bladers is central to how the Platform is designed, and this policy reflects that.

1. Who we are

iConnectBlade is operated by Pedro Tech, founded by Pedro Vitorino and based at 3900 Oldfield Crossing Dr, Apt 208, Jacksonville, FL 32223, USA. [Business registration details to be confirmed with our lawyer before launch.]

In this policy, "iConnectBlade", "we", "us", and "our" mean Pedro Tech. We are responsible for the personal information described here.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your email address, phone number, date of birth, and display name when you sign up.

Verification information: data used to confirm your age and, where required, your identity. This is processed by a specialist verification provider (see the sub-processors section).

Content and activity: the posts, comments, messages, photos, videos, friends, groups, and marketplace activity you create on the Platform.

AI companion data: the messages you send your AI companion, the memories it keeps, and any photos you share with it.

Payment information: for marketplace transactions, payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

Technical information: device type, app and browser data, IP address, and usage data needed to operate and secure the Platform.

3. How we use your information

To create and run your account, place you in the correct age experience, and provide features such as posts, friends, the marketplace, and your AI companion.

To keep the Platform safe — including checking messages and posts for bullying and harmful content, and preventing fraud and abuse.

To send you verification codes and important service messages.

To meet our legal obligations, including age verification and record-keeping.

4. Legal bases for processing

Performance of a contract: we process your information to create your account and provide the Platform features you ask for.

Consent: we rely on consent for optional features, for processing the data of children under 13 (given by a parent or guardian), and elsewhere where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Legitimate interests: we process information to keep the Platform safe and secure, moderate content, prevent abuse, and improve the service — balanced against your rights and freedoms.

Legal obligation: we process information to verify age, keep certain records, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

5. Age and identity verification

We verify your date of birth, and in some cases your identity, to keep children and adults in separate spaces and to allow marketplace selling.

Identity verification is handled by Persona, our verification provider. Sensitive identity documents are processed by that provider under its own security standards. iConnectBlade retains only a confirmation that you passed verification and your verified age bracket — not your identity documents.

6. Children's privacy

iConnectBlade offers a separate, protected experience for bladers under 13.

For accounts of children under 13, we require verified consent from a parent or guardian before the account is activated, in line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and comparable laws elsewhere.

A parent or guardian may review their child's personal information, request its deletion, and refuse to allow further collection or use by contacting privacy@iconnectblade.app.

We collect from children only the information needed to operate the Platform safely, and we do not condition a child's participation on disclosing more than is reasonably necessary.

7. Your AI companion and your data

Your AI companion uses the messages you send it, the memories you allow it to keep, and photos you share with it, to generate responses. These inputs are sent to our AI provider (see sub-processors) only to produce a reply for you.

We do not use your private conversations with your AI companion, or its memories of you, to train or fine-tune AI models.

You can view your AI chat history and memories, and clear them, at any time from your settings. Cleared history is removed as described in the data retention section.

8. Message moderation and safety

To protect users from bullying and harmful content, messages and posts are processed by automated moderation systems before or as they are delivered.

Moderation results, reports, and related safety records are kept so we can investigate abuse and protect the community.

9. How we share information and our sub-processors

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers ("sub-processors") that help us run the Platform, and only as needed for them to provide their service. Our sub-processors include, or are planned to include:

Hosting, database, and infrastructure — Supabase, Vercel.

Age and identity verification — Persona.

SMS and phone verification — Twilio.

Email delivery — Resend.

AI chat and vision — NVIDIA NIM.

Payments for the marketplace — Stripe.

Video hosting — Mux. Voice chat — LiveKit. Message translation — DeepL. Error monitoring — Sentry.

We keep a current list of sub-processors and will update it as the Platform grows. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

10. How long we keep your data (retention)

Account information is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days after you close it, except where law requires us to keep it longer.

Posts, comments, photos, and videos are kept while your account is open, and removed when you delete them or close your account.

Messages and AI companion chat history are kept so your conversations and your companion's memory persist. You can clear them at any time; otherwise they are deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Verification records: a pass/fail confirmation and your age bracket are kept while your account is open. Identity documents are retained by the verification provider under its own retention rules.

Moderation and safety logs are kept for up to 12 months to investigate abuse and meet safety obligations.

Marketplace and payment records are kept for as long as tax and financial law requires, which may be up to 7 years.

Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, typically within 90 days.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent.

Within the Platform you can update your profile, block other users, control whether your phone number is visible (never public for users under 18), and clear your AI chat history.

To make a request, contact privacy@iconnectblade.app. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

12. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; to access and delete it; to correct it; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

Categories of personal information we collect include identifiers (such as email and phone number), age, user-generated content, commercial information (marketplace activity), and internet activity. We collect sensitive personal information limited to your date of birth and verification data, and use it only for the purposes described in this policy.

To exercise your California rights, contact privacy@iconnectblade.app. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

13. Data security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls.

No online service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so please also protect your own account with a strong, unique password and keep your login details private.

14. International data transfers

iConnectBlade currently serves the United States and Brazil, so your information may be transferred to and processed in either country.

Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards and contractual protections, consistent with Brazil's LGPD and applicable U.S. state law.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform grows or the law changes. If we make significant changes, we will let you know within the Platform and update the "last updated" date above.

If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — for example, the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) if you are in California, or the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) if you are in Brazil.
